paraglider


The paraglider is a kind of parachute designed to take off the slopes of mountains or hills. When environmental conditions are favorable, the flying rise beyond the point of takeoff and remain in the sky for several hours. Thermal (hot air bubbles) or lifts (upward winds at elevations of contour) support the practitioner in the air. The rest usually occurs in pastures or on the beach. Weighing between 7 and 10 kg, the "Seems to" can be carried in a backpack on my back.

The activity is safe, provided you make a course in school is accredited and fly in ideal conditions, avoiding strong winds and rainy weather, and informing on the peculiarities of each site. The equipment must have a reservation. It should be closed off with helmet and use a strong shoes - sneakers or boots.

The level of difficulty is small. The minimum age for a course is 18 years as the standard DAC (Department of Civil Aviation), and it requires perfect physical and mental state. The course has duration of two weeks to two months, as the pace of the student and the climatic conditions.

Who wants to double flights do not have to do the course but must be careful to require clearance by the pilot ABVL (Brazilian Association of Free Flight) or ABP (Associação Brasileira de Parapente). Preferably, the seat of the passenger must have an air-bag or protective foam. The minimum age is 15 years, with the permission of those responsible. The weight of the passenger must be at least 55 kg and a maximum of 125 kg. In the winter dress coat is good for cold and wind, and at any time, bring camera or camcorder.
